Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Great for an on-the-go snack!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup oat bran
  • 1/4 cup dry nonfat milk powder
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup extra-light virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Mix oats, oat bran, and dry milk.

Step 3

Add raisins and mix together.

Step 4

In saucepan, combine honey, peanut butter, oil, and vanilla extract. Heat at low heat: do NOT get hot.

Step 5

Remove from heat. Add egg.

Step 6

Add honey to oat mix and blend with a wooden spoon.

Step 7

Cook for 20 minutes in a 9x9 inch pan.

Step 8

Let cool in pan.
