What’s Cookin’ Week of Tyler’s Birthday
It’s a birthday week in the Baradel household! Tyler turns 5 years old on Wednesday!! On Sunday, we had his birthday party at Sparkles Skating Rink! What a blast. He was super duper happy and loves to skate. But, much to Mom’s dismay, we have had pizza THREE nights in a row for dinner! Argh. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner, he said PIZZA! No way, Jose! Not sure what the plan will be but it will not be that!
I should also mention that between the party we had on Friday night and Tyler’s bday cake, please stop by for dessert!!! We have enough to last us till next year.
What’s Cookin’ Week of September 25th
Meatless Monday: Spinach and Cheese Ravioli with Steamed Broccoli
Tuesday: Easy as Can be Lemon Chicken with Grilled Corn on the Cob and Edamame Beans
Wednesday: Surprise dinner out for Tyler
Thursday: Family Fun Night at our church so no cookin’!
Friday: Breakfast Burritos (eggs, black beans, salsa, cheddar cheese, corn, tomato avocado and probably some more toppings). I will place all the ingredients out and let the kids make their own! They will eat more if they make their own.
I will serve with whatever fruit I have around (which is usually just about everything) so who knows what we will be feeling that night. 🙂
Saturday: Date Night…
Sunday: Pan Fried Tilapia with Stewed Tomatoes and Kale, leftover broccoli and corn on the cob, and quinoa
I will doctor up the quinoa with my usual Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and peas. Last week, I ended up making cous couse and added corn and it was really tasty so I may throw some corn in as well. I will just cut it off the corn on the cob leftovers.
